I work in mixed media, mostly collage and painting, but also drawing, printmaking and installation. My work has been exhibited locally and nationally, and has won several awards.

Conceptually, my work is an ongoing search for the Hegelian concept of synthesis, in which a contrasting thesis and antithesis are reconciled by an overarching, unifying concept — the synthesis. I believe this is why I’ve always been drawn to collage, and expanding from there to mixed media and installation. I approach synthesis on both formal and conceptual levels, striving to bring disparate elements together in a unified whole.
