An installation contrasting the divisiveness of our present political landscape with the lofty values on which our nation was founded.

False Dichotomy

In 2012 I curated a show called E Pluribus Unum, at the Tippetts Gallery at Utah State University, to address the growing partisan divide in the United States, and to encourage collaboration and cooperation — unity rather than division. My piece, “False Dichotomy,” was an installation consisting of a 8-foot tall Statue of Liberty, standing in front of a chess board on a table painted blue and red. The concept was that small things divide us, while great things unite us, and our focus should be on the latter. I also showed this as part of the Westminster Faculty Show in 2014.
